Nathan Losieau
Nathan is using Autodesk Inventor to model the stress and strain behavior that the nano 3D printed materials with (tubules that mimic dentin) will exhibit when composed of Polylactic Acid (PLA) as compared to our control which is Dentin. He is doing this to determine the toughness of this polymer to see if it would withstand the forces exerted on a third molar. This scaffold has the application to serve as a dentinal bridge for direct dental pulp capping.
